ExchangeRates.Pro field manual
How to compare an offer on ExchangeRates.Pro
A quick, practical walkthrough of country, currency, direction, payment-method, freshness, fee, and venue checks.
ExchangeRates.Pro helps you compare where to buy or sell cryptocurrency. It does not execute the transaction: each row is a recent observation from a venue or rate monitor, and the final decision happens on the provider’s own site.
1. Describe the transaction
Open the comparison and choose:
- Country — the market and payment routes relevant to you;
- You have — the amount and currency you are starting with;
- You’ll get — the cryptocurrency or fiat currency you want;
- Direction — use the swap control to switch between buying and selling;
- Payment method — select a specific route only if you intend to use it.
The country’s usual fiat currency is selected by default when available, but you can choose another supported currency. Leaving the payment method at Any payment method gives the widest view.
2. Read the reference before the offers
The mid-market rate is an independent orientation point, not an offer you can trade. The vs mid figure shows how far a row sits from that reference. It helps compare markup, but it does not by itself include every fee or guarantee execution.
Check the timestamps beside the reference and the offer table. Markets move; an old quote deserves more caution. A stale label is a warning to recheck the destination before relying on the number.
3. Understand what each row represents
ExchangeRates.Pro combines several venue types. A centralized exchange quote, a P2P advertisement, and a rate-monitor listing do not have the same checkout flow.
For every candidate, check:
- venue name and type;
- buy or sell direction;
- displayed price and estimated amount received;
- payment method, where the source provides one;
- freshness and source context;
- whether a known funding fee was applied or the result is marked before fees.
Rows are ranked by the comparison outcome available to us, not by commission paid to ExchangeRates.Pro. Missing fee data is disclosed rather than silently treated as zero.
4. Verify on the destination
Use the row’s action to open the provider, then repeat the important checks there:
- confirm the domain and provider identity;
- confirm the asset, network, direction, amount, and currency;
- check the live price, available volume, limits, and all fees;
- review identity and country eligibility;
- for P2P, read the advertiser’s payment terms and never move the conversation or payment outside the platform;
- for a rate monitor, confirm the selected exchanger and exact direction after the redirect.
The displayed row is evidence of what the source reported recently, not a reservation. If the destination disagrees, use the destination’s current terms or walk away.
5. Test before increasing the amount
For a new venue, payment route, wallet, or blockchain network, start small. Confirm that deposit, trade, and withdrawal work end to end. Save receipts and transaction identifiers. Never send crypto to an address on a network the recipient does not support.
You can compare offers without registering. If you want email notification when a reference price crosses a level or moves by a percentage, sign in and create a price alert from your account.
