ExchangeRates.Pro field manual

What an exchange-rate quote timestamp tells you

Learn what offer and reference timestamps mean, and when to verify a quote at its destination.

A timestamp describes an observation

The offer row records a recent report from a trading venue or rate monitor. ExchangeRates.Pro does not execute the transaction. Its timestamp tells you when that report arrived, not the price you will receive later.

Read both times

The page also shows a timestamp for the mid-market reference. It comes from a separate rate source, so its time can differ from an offer's time. Read both before comparing a row with the reference.

When an offer is marked stale, the site is warning that the observation has aged past its freshness window. Recheck the destination before relying on that number. The label does not predict what the destination will quote.

Verify before you act

Check the destination's current price, volume, limits, and fees for your intended amount. For the comparison fields and ranking method, see the quick start guide and methodology.
