Accounts and price alerts: when signing in helps

You do not need an account to compare offers on ExchangeRates.Pro. Country, currency, direction, payment-method, freshness, and venue information are public. Signing in is useful for one current feature: personal price alerts.

What an account adds

A price alert watches a cryptocurrency/quote-currency pair against the reference price used by ExchangeRates.Pro. You can choose either:

• Absolute price — notify me when the pair moves above or below a level;
• Percent move — notify me when the pair rises or falls by a percentage from the price recorded when the alert is created.

Alerts are sent by email. From the account page, you can see the condition, status, and last evaluated price; pause or resume an alert that has not fired; and delete alerts you no longer need.

An alert that reaches its condition is marked Triggered and fires once. Create a new alert if you want to watch the same condition again. Up to 20 alerts can be active at one time; paused or triggered alerts do not consume an active slot.

Sign-in is passwordless

Enter your email on the sign-in page. ExchangeRates.Pro sends a time-limited link to that address. Opening the link signs you in; there is no password to create or remember.

Treat the email link like a temporary password:

• request it only on a device and mailbox you control;
• do not forward it;
• ignore unexpected sign-in messages;
• if a link has expired, request a new one from the site.

For privacy, the confirmation screen does not reveal whether an address already had an account. A first successful sign-in can create the account automatically.

What an account does not do

An ExchangeRates.Pro account is not an exchange account, wallet, or custody service. It does not hold money or crypto, reserve an offer, complete identity verification for another venue, or make a transaction reversible.

Signing in also does not improve your ranking or unlock a private rate. The public comparison remains the same. Register only if price alerts are useful to you.

Set alerts that answer a real question

Choose a pair and threshold tied to a decision you plan to make—for example, “tell me if BTC/USD falls below my purchase level.” A notification says that the reference price crossed your condition; it does not guarantee that every venue offers that price or that fees leave the same result.

When an email arrives, return to the live comparison, select your actual country, amount, direction, and payment method, and verify the final terms with the venue.
